Peter has worked for blue chip organisations for over 25 years and is now passionately focused on supporting SME's and helping them to become even more prosperous - both through his business consultancy practice and the Academy. He jointly owns the license for the North East with Karen Humble who chairs Academy Group 23.

Peter is a 'commercially orientated' financial accountant having held senior management positions within the financial, IT, retail marketing & sales and manufacturing sectors- Touche, IBM, GEC - and extensive work with General Motors (Opel, Cadillac & Chevrolet) and public sector/ government departments.

Part of Peter's present responsibilities include lecturing at Liverpool John Moores and Hope Universities as well as Liverpool Centre for Leadership Development. Recent client mentoring has included resolving conflict between feuding key shareholders and for another company impacting profit dramatically by releasing working capital and increasing market penetration. A recent quote from a Fortune 500 client stated "….you hold the record for the highest scores for both material and supplier evaluation. How I wish all the suppliers could reach your level"

Specialist areas include strategic business planning, funding/raising finance, performance management, implementation of change programmes, profit improvement initiatives, consultative selling and leadership & motivation.

Peter has also worked with many charities and the CAB in recent years in the areas of drug addiction, mental health and a volunteer for mentoring ex-prisoners and young offenders.
